We have embraced the smart home theme in our own home as. We have added VIVINT Home Security System which included Smart Thermostat, Security Cameras and Controllable plugs for lamps. All easily accessible through a control panel online as well as APP for your Smart-Phone. Recently our garage door opener died unexpectedly, so Nick went to Home Depot to purchase a new one. Ryobi had just released their new Ultra-Quiet Garage Door Opener and to be quite honest, with all that was included with the opener, it was actually $30.00 less than if he purchased the Chamberlain, then 2 extra remotes and key pad. This Opener is also able to be operated through an APP, it has modules you add to the opener like, a fan, cord reel extension cord, blue tooth speaker and park assist laser system. The really cool thing is that you can add a RYOBI 18V battery to one of the modules, which charges and then if the power goes out you can still uses the opener for up to 100 times on a full charge.
It is pretty awesome to be entering the neighborhood, hit the open button and have the door fully open when you pull into the driveway.
