Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
Paint
Here is the go-to kid related Mother’s day gift. Assemble some paint and various items to paint; then wait till she’s not around. At this point you add some paint to your children’s adorable hands and feet and just start plastering those bad boys on everything. Seriously anything…Mugs, aprons, frames, paper, shirts, plant potters, a slab of wood.
Then just add some cute words or phrases. ABRACADABRA! You have now got yourself an adorable memento of your precious little-ones. Their mother and grandmothers will love this endearing keepsake.
Photos
So maybe you have older kids that won’t be so into the whole “finger-foot painting thing”. Have no fear you can always use photos! You can make a little photo collage or take a new picture of the all the kids (and maybe the animals too). Combine that with some creative framing and/or some choice phrases/ words and you’ve got a homemade heart felt present.
Personally, my favorite photo keepsake is the recreation photo. To do this you need a favorite photo of your kids when they were younger. Then you take your kids have them dress similarly to the photo and have them reenact the old photo. Pair them side by side and frame them and there you go. Here are a few comical examples…
These are just few ideas of what you can do to make this Mother’s day special. All of these gifts are little tokens that can be placed in the house to remind your mother figures that they are loved and appreciated all year round.
