Curiosity is an interesting topic. It’s actually viewed in many different ways by those who observe it. Being curious is perceived by many to be a great talent and a great way to learn, while others perceive being curious as something annoying or negative. One of our favorite Albert Einstein quotes about curiosity is, “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” He failed many times, but with each failure, he became more curious. Why didn’t it work? What if I did this? Are there times when something you tried, did not work? Do you embrace your curious nature, looking for solutions or ways to make it work, or do you throw in the towel?
The Art of Being Curious
Something to Think About
Children are great examples of being curious. They question everything because they have such a strong desire for learning and achieving. Do they sometimes ask too many questions when we are tired, and just want to relax? Perhaps, but it’s that curiosity and the time you take to help them learn that will help shape them into the person they will become.
Weekly Activity
Each week we all encounter people in our life who are curious. Children, grandchildren, co-workers, friends, and family. Embrace their curious nature and know that you are helping them grow in that moment. Perhaps it’s time for you to be a little more curious.
