This week, we celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day, a tradition that started in 1995. Random acts of kindness are spontaneous. What does that mean? It means you hold the power right now to change the course of someone’s day. I think most of us get caught up in our own lives and the daily schedules we get locked into and forget that the simplest of things can make the most significant impact on someone else. It could be a smile, a compliment, paying for a meal, or offering assistance to someone in need. Just think how different this world would be if everyone took a few minutes out of their week to do something for someone else. Start today and make someone’s day better.

Make random acts of kindness a family project this week and this year. It’s easy to get the whole family involved. As you collaborate on ways to show kindness, you’ll be teaching your kids to pay it forward and show kindness to others every day in a variety of ways.
