I hope you had a relaxing weekend because GO Week, which stands for Get Organized Week started yesterday, October 4th. GO has been observed the first full week of October since 1991. What a great idea. Rarely do we plan the time to get organized. But the best part of getting organized is the feeling of accomplishment at the end.
The goal is to tackle one thing, in one room, each day of the week. For example, for the kitchen it might be the pantry. The bathroom might be the cabinets under the sink. Set one goal for each day to achieve a small victory each day of the week. Each project should take no more than a couple of hours, but the feeling at the end of the week will be great.
You may also want to tackle one business organizational strategy per day as well – or instead. Maybe your office desk one day, drawers another day. Computer desktop of phone apps another. This might be the perfect week to finally get that CRM you’ve been thinking about. Organization creates both a sense of accomplishment – and a clearly, more defined focus which is DEFINITELY something we could all use more of as we head into the holidays and the end of the year. Ready? Set? GO!
It’s National GO Week
Something to Think About
Our crazy busy hectic lifestyles are conducive to throwing things into any available space as we dash by. But we waste time trying to locate what we can’t find, or waste money buying things we already have but can’t locate. Can anyone relate to that? Set all systems to GO this week and get organized!
Weekly Activity
This week choose the top 5-7 things you absolutely want to accomplish and make a list based on priority – then start checking off that list. For the household chores – enlist the family in your GO activities!
