Many people celebrated Easter yesterday. A holiday that represents hope, joy, and sacrifice. This year was different than it was in years past for most. Those who would normally celebrate Easter Sunday at church, found themselves watching services online or on TV. Egg hunts and family feasts felt different this year. There was a noticeable absence of family members around the dinner table. This season will require sacrifice for all of us, but in that sacrifice, there was hope. Hope for the time when we can gather as a family again and hope for a cure. This is a time to search out joyful moments. Joy for the things we have taken for granted in the past. Joy for the health of family and friends and joy for those precious moments we have been able to spend with those we love.
Sacrifice in Times of Need
There are so many sacrifices that each of us has made in the past six weeks, and there were be many more sacrifices in the days to come. There has never been a time in history where the entire world has come together with a common goal: Finding a cure and healing the world. As we move forward, don’t lose hope. Look for joy in all things and remember that we will get through this together.
Something to Think About
There will always be times of sacrifice and times where we are forced to look at alternatives. Throughout our lives, there will be many times of uncertainty. The most important thing that we can each do during times of change, uncertainty, and sacrifice is to hold on to hope, look for solutions or alternatives and to offer encouragement to those around us.
