There is no such thing as a stupid question. How many times have we heard this? Sure, there is no stupid question…especially when you don’t know the answer. Even though we have been told this for our entire lives, the truth of the matter is most people don’t ask. Where Real Estate is concerned, this can lead to the explosion of your death star.
As a profession we have to complete courses, pass tests, gain licensing, constantly read to stay current, attend training, meetings, and events. This is all necessary to preform to the best of our abilities in our chosen profession. It is impossible to expect the public to keep up with all of these topics on top of their own life- thus this blog was born-to make learning about the Real Estate world as painless as possible.
My goal is to reach out to the Tampa Bay community and improve their understanding of all things Real Estate. I also want to nudge myself in-between the public and the negative stigma surrounding the Real Estate profession.
For all my How I Met Your Mother fans out there: Real Estate Agents are a lot like Barney Stinson… no one really knows what we do.
The Art Of Real Estate
Sigh No More, my friends because in the future posts to come I will explain the world of Real Estate like it has never before been explained (with honesty, lots of fun pop-culture references, & quirky humor).
Let me begin to chisel away at the icy barrier that exists between the public perception and the dreaded Real Estate profession.
More often than not, we are perceived as the commission hungry sales person; the instigator that wants you to spend at the top of your budget or push you to meet our quota. (I promised to be honest and the truth is there are people that work this way, but they are not the majority.)
This is not the practice of successful Real Estate agents. For one simple reason: Real Estate is a referral business. If we provide a quality service to our clients, then those clients are more likely to send business our way. A good reputation is key in this business; it can make or break an agent.
Real Estate agents are not out there to get you. We are professionals that are here to help you. We are on your side helping you fight your battles. We are the R2D2 to your Luke Skywalker, the Watson to your Holmes, and the Lenard to your Sheldon.
